This piece won the S4C Christmas Carol Composing Competition in 2005, when it was performed by the Cardiff-based choir Serendipity, with Bryn Terfel. The judges were unanimous in their decision and made the point that they felt this piece should be in the repertoire of all choirs who sing Christmas music.

Simply one of the most beautiful carols you could wish to find. A quietly moving new setting of the words of G Wither (1588-1667).
