This piece in its SATB form won the S4C Christmas Carol Composing Competiition in 2006, when it was performed by the Cardiff-based choir Serendipity, with Bryn Terfel. The judges were unanimous in their decision and made the point that they felt this piece should be in the repertoire of all choirs who sing Christmas music.
