This piece in its SATB form won the S4C Christmas Carol Composing Competition in 2005, when it was performed in Llangollen by the Cardiff-based choir Serendipity, with Bryn Terfel.  The judges were unanimous in their decision and made the point that they felt this piece should be in the repertoire of all choirs who sing Christmas music.
